Indya Smith, owner and creator of Poison Jam, has always had a passion for design, technology, and the arts. With the desire for creating concepts, scouting locations, styling and designing her looks, she started her career as an editorial model in the fall of 2013, later creating her fashion blog, East Indy Street.

Inspired by Y2K Futurism and the eccentric style of the 90s Harajuku fashion scene, Indya felt compelled to create an accessory that incorporated the same energy, style, and originality that would often be found in the Tokyo streetwear. In 2015, Indya saw the people's interest in neon and decided to combine these elements with couture design and the ever-growing popularity of LED into a one-of-a-kind neon clutch, paving the way for an entirely new and revolutionary concept in fashion.
